Fairtrade

Fairtrade

Fairtrade means a fair price and good working conditions for farmers and producers in poorer countries of the world.  At St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School we strongly believe all farmers should get a fair price for their produce, have access to clean water, afford medical care needed and that their children benefit from a good education.

Pupils in the Fairtrade group work hard to promote Fairtrade in our school community and beyond. They are given opportunities to lead school assemblies, attend termly meetings and run our termly Fairtrade tuck shop with members from our community.  As Christians, we believe that supporting Fairtrade is an act of love and justice for all of God’s people and is central to our Gospel Values.
